RESTAURANT/ BAR DUTY MANAGER
This is a minimum 15 month contract to cover maternity leave that could lead on to a permanent role.
We are looking for a special someone to join our team. First and foremost they will be enthusiastic, forward-thinking and naturally deliver friendly, efficient customer service, to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere to all of our customers.
This role is key within our business, working alongside another Duty manager and hands-on owner. You will often be the first face to welcome our customers and central in shaping the experience they have with us.
In the last 6 months we have won Somerset Pub of the Year and a Taste of the West Gold award, as well as others. We operate at the highest standards, but within a relaxed, upbeat and comfortable environment for both the team and our customers.
Its really important to us that we find the right person, so we can be flexible with the start date, from immediate, to end of June.
What We Look For In A Restaurant /Bar Duty Manager:
•At least 6 months restaurant/ bar experience at supervisor/assistant managerial level
•A real love of good food
•Passionate about great service and an understanding of what amazing customer service looks like
•Enjoys and wants to be an active member of a team
•Great eye for detail
•Excellent communication skills
•Ability to work calmly under pressure
•Ability to role model our values and standards to the team
•Skilled in organising and planning
•Excellent verbal communication
•Bar and cellar knowledge – but full training can be given.
•A good understanding of customer care and complaint handling
•Experience of running events including weddings and private dining
This role is a full time, 5 days per week including weekends, split shifts – lunch and evening. Approximately 40 hours per week.
Transport is essential as we are not on a bus route. We are 5 miles from both the centre of Taunton and Wellington.
